Just got back from the Blackpool gig. Richard and Danny were completely spellbinding. I've been a fan since childhood but this is the first time I've been to see Richard perform live and it exceeded my already high expectations. Hopefully he'll return to Blackpool in future. If he doesn't, I'll start buying Kenny G albums.

I just thought I should let you know how much I enjoyed Richard and Danny's tour this year. I was lucky enough to be able to attend three concerts (The Lyric, Warwick Arts Centre and the Deco), and every performance was fantastic. I've never seen live music quite like it. I've been playing guitar for the last 3 years or so (I'm now 18), and seeing the duo play live has given me a fresh kick of inspiration. At some points Richard's voice, his guitar and Danny's bass seemed to all meld together into a phenomenal sound. I hope he will be writing and touring in the UK for many years to come.Thanks for some great nights out!

Went to see Richard at The Deco, Northampton, last night and both he and Danny were in superb form. It was made all the more special for me because it was my stag night and my best woman had sneaked a note backstage to Richard, who mentioned it on stage ("why would you want to come to see me on your stag night?") and wished us a long & happy marriage. He refused my offer of a gig at the wedding, though. Nevertheless, it made my night, week and year. Thank-you, Richard. |

.. Just seen Richard and Danny for the second time on this tour (Warwick & Northampton), coming to him as only a vague memory from my youth ... Fairport ....re-introduced via my 18 year-old son ...... and listening to Sibella as I write this ...... It's not easy to stun a 53 year-old but I am still wide-eyed from the experience (so's my musician son).... Genius is an over-used word in these days of fame for the talentless, but that is exactly what I've just seen .... I'm still trying to close my mouth!

A fantastic performance - two hours of magic. Were there only Richard and Danny on the stage? At times we were looking for the rest of the band. My 15 year old Goth daughter was awestruck, and feels sorry for her school friends who missed the concert. "Hots for the smarts" made us laugh, "Meet on the ledge" left us in tears - it was all superb. I'm afraid the audience was useless at singing - sorry about that!! Thanks for an evening to remember |

Loved his early work with Fairport, Nick Drake, etc. Lost contact with his work after Bright Lights. Picked him up again in time for Mock Tudor and others. Saw him a few years ago (electric) and then saw him last night in Cambridge (acoustic with Danny Thompson). Fantastic show - and Front Parlour Ballads is sensational. |

I've been to many Richard Thompson concerts over the years (second only to Dylan !) and have fond memories of many of them. However I have not been to one for about eight years before seeing Richard at Basingstoke on January 27th 2006. This performance was fantastic. The voice has grown in maturity and strenth and the guitar playing is breathtaking. Danny Thompson is the perfect foil to Richard's lead. Come back soon !
