Bozeman, MT 03/19/08 |
On 19 March I saw your concert in Bozeman Montana. Thank you for every note. I was especially pleased that you dusted off Crazy Man Michael. You mentioned that some aspects of the song were perhaps a bit "of their time" (not an exact quote) but for me as a fan of traditional folk song I see greater connections with older song traditions and Crazy Man sits very well in any song writing era. Hope to hear you in Bozeman again. And Thank you so much for playing and sharing all those great songs. I will live on that vibe for a long time. |

Holy Cow, Richard. Thanks for such a powerful show in Missoula. It was doubly special since the last time I saw you was 1996 in La Jolla, California, as I was in the process of getting out of the navy. I had chills last night, brother, with "Dad's Gonna Kill Me." I know that feeling! Bless you and give a shout next time you're in the neighborhood! |

Saw R.T. the other night in Missoula, Montana for another great show. Finally summoned up the courage to briefly chat after the show to thank him for the inspiration and the passion of his work. Would love to chat some time about the Sufi influence in his work and some of the more philosophical elements of his music. And to learn more about playing technique, too. I'm too old to be writing on these fancy websites, but that's how much R.T.'s music has meant to me. Thanks again for your work and quality.See you again next time in Montana. Be well. Peace. |

after loving his music since the first time I heard it in 1980 and never having a chance to see him live, I've been able to get to three shows in the last five years, including last Thursday night's solo acoustic show in Omaha. Thank you for doing what you do! |

saw Richard last nite at the scottish rite in Omaha. so cool. heard some great stuff. I love his voice and the more "english folk type" songs from a lot of the earlier music. There was a good mix of old and new but of course I did not get to hear all the songs I dreamed of hearing live. Impossible with the repetoire to choose from. Incredible guitar. I like the story telling style of songs best. Wonderful phrasing and inflection. Wish the night would never have ended. thanks for stopping in omaha |

Lawrence, KS 03/12/08 |
I saw your show in Lawrence, Kansas on Wednesday. I stayed after to meet you and I wanted to apologize because I was wasted. I had been drinking in the afternoon and I tried to take a rest before coming to see your performance, but I was so anxious I came directly. When I did meet you, you seemed annoyed or disturbed and I'm sorry for that. I'm not that big a dick and remain a big fan. Thanks |

Saw Richard last night in Lawrence, KS. He played an excellent show and I apologize for the idiots in the audience. I really was glad to hear "Walking on the Wire" and "I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight." I felt fortunate to see a legend who's still making important music and not just living off his past. |
